Power Balance, which sells silicone and neoprene wristbands adorned with a hologram sticker, was forced to admit that their product does not in fact improve the wearer's balance, strength or flexibility.

Power Balance Australia was forced to concede that its product was no more effective than wearing a rubber band around one's wrist, and to offer refunds to customers by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.

cheap power balance no longer lists Australia on its website, and no mention of the incident exists on its other web portals. Power Balance clearly intends to sell its products to whichever markets will allow it to do so.

While it is unclear why an athlete would believe that a silicone wristband with a hologram sticker would affect performance, the $30 Power Balance wristbands have been worn by athletes from David Beckham to Ian Poulter.
