championship rings from his coaching career
Mike Ditka stopped wearing his and he wears the 1985 Super Bowl championship ring instead. "That ring looks
like a high school class ring almost," Ditka said. "There isn't a lot to it. It was a minimal cost to Mr.
Halas, believe me."The ring features a small diamond set in an image of Wrigley Field.
Ed O'Bradovich got tired of seeing former Packer Paul Hornung flash his glitzier championship rings, so
O'Bradovich dressed his up with more diamonds. And he wears it still.O'Bradovich's ring isn't the only one
that has been altered. When Bob Wetoska's weight dropped to 210 from 275, he had his ring downsized.
Wetoska also had to have his diamond replaced after he dropped the ring and the original diamond was chipped.
After Roger Davis was traded to the Rams, his ring was stolen out of his locker.Richie Petitbon keeps his in a
safe deposit box, along with three other championship rings from his coaching career.
Doug Atkins isn't sure where his is, but "it's around here somewhere."A number of the 1963 Bears have passed
along their rings to their sons.Larry Glueck gave it to his son John when John graduated from law school.
After wearing his ring for nearly 50 years, Ronnie Bull gave his ring to his son Randy. "I wanted to watch my
son wear it, to see him have the greatest pleasure I had to wear it, while I was alive," Ronnie Bull said. "I
didn't want to wait until I was dead for him to have it."
Washington Nationals starting pitcher Gio Gonzalez responded with a statement to Tuesday's revelation from
ESPN that he did not purchase banned substances from the Biogenesis clinic, but he did not take questions and
did not clarify the lingering discrepancy between ESPN's report and his prior public comments. "I'm going to
be honest with you guys, I haven't heard anything yet officially from MLB," Gonzalez said to a group of
reporters. "I do plan on sitting down and cooperating with them. I want to get this all done already, before
the season starts." ESPN, citing two sources, reported that Gonzalez, who finished third in last season's
National League Cy Young Award vote, was the only player named in a Jan. 29 Miami New Times report who did not
receive banned performance-enhancing drugs from the now-shuttered Biogenesis clinic. On the day he arrived at
spring training, Gonzalez emphatically denied ever using PEDs.
As a hotshot quarterback out of high school, Jay Gruden was wooed by Florida, Florida State and a dozen other
pedigree biggies of college ball. It seemed certain enough that Jay would become a staple under center for
some Rose Bowl or Sugar Bowl regular. Then a funny thing happened on his way to residence in the Top 20. He
stopped in at Louisville U., an ambitious little off-Broadway program, and plopped down in a chair across a
desk from Howard Schnellenberger. The kid became mesmerized by the two championship rings Howard kept clinking
together and by that basso profundo voice.Visit http://www.championshipringshop.com/ for more ingormation.

While it is unclear why an athlete would believe that a silicone wristband with a hologram sticker would affect performance, the $30 Power Balance wristbands have been worn by athletes from David Beckham to Ian Poulter.

I had a game plan at the start of the week
Hot sale 70% discountAs Jason Day headed to the first tee in Friday’s second round, he turned to playing partners Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler and joked that he needed to start paying people to yell out his name. The Masters fans, he cracked, only had eyes for the more recognizable young stars.
Day
Day, as it turned out, didn’t need money; he just needed to shoot 64.
"It got a bit better on the back nine," he said, "which was nice."Fashion hairpieces for sale cheap
What was even nicer is that Day shot himself up the leaderboard and into the final pairing in Saturday’s third round. At 8 under, he finds himself in solo second place, two shots back of leader Rory McIlroy going into the weekend at Augusta National.
The 21-year-old McIlroy shot 65 on Thursday to share the first-round lead with Alvaro Quiros. The 23-year-old Day did one better, tying for the lowest round ever shot by a Masters rookie.
McIlroy, Day and fellow playing partner Rickie Fowler are all in the top 10 of the leaderboard (Fower’s tied for seventh at 5 under). They combined to shoot 23 under in the first two days.
Day, who won the HP Byron Nelson Championships last year, said he learned from watching McIlroy on Thursday.
"He put himself in the right positions on the course," Day said. "He played the course exactly how it’s supposed to play, and I just tried to stick to my game plan.
"I had a game plan at the start of the week and I’m just trying to stick to that. There are certain holes that you want to respect out here, and then there are certain holes that you want to try and jump on and hopefully get a birdie.
"But you know, there’s a few shots out there that I got lucky, and at the end of the day, I shot 8 under and I’m very happy that I played really good today."
For the third consecutive day, Day and McIlroy will walk Augusta National’s 18 holes together, this time with considerably more pressure than the first two days.
Even though a host of veteran contenders — including Tiger Woods, just one shot behind Day — lurk, the Australian will concentrate on his own game.
"I’m just going to go out there and try and stick to my game plan and not worry about the score," Day said. "Like Rory said before, you have to play the course; you’re not playing the leaderboard. You’re not playing anyone else. You’re playing yourself and you’re playing the course. Popular online sale shop is your best choose.
"So as long as you can stick to your game plan and just keep plugging along, you know, hopefully you’ll walk down 18 having the lead."

Popular online sale shop is your best choose. Google is trying social networking again, even as it pays a price for earlier privacy blunders.
Google introduced its latest social tool Wednesday, the same day it settled with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) over charges of deceptive privacy practices last year for Buzz, the social networking tool in Gmail.
Under the settlement, Google agreed to start a privacy program, permit audits for 20 years and face $16,000 fines for any future privacy misrepresentation.
This is the first time the FTC has charged a company with such violations and ordered it to start a privacy program, the commission said.Healthy products power balance wholesale online sale
The new social-networking tool, called +1, lets people annotate Google search results and ads so they can recommend Web pages to friends and acquaintances. It is the biggest feature yet in Google's long-awaited social-networking tool kit.glitters 2011 fashion accessories make people love
The introduction of +1 and the FTC charges highlight two of Google's biggest challenges: heightened competition from Facebook, and near-constant criticism from privacy advocates and policymakers over its practices.
As it tries to make its services more social, the company has come under intense scrutiny from people concerned about its broad access to personal information. At the same time, it is in the unusual position of racing to catch up with a rival, as Facebook captures more of the time, information and ad views of Internet users.
Of particular concern to Google is the fact that many people now turn to Facebook with search queries, like seeking the best place to go on vacation, because they trust the advice of friends more than that of an anonymous search engine.
With +1, which began rolling out to users Wednesday, Google wants to personalize search results.
In an interview about the new tool, Matt Cutts, a principal search engineer at Google, took great pains to emphasize that the company had learned from the privacy outcry after it introduced Buzz, which let Gmail users share status updates, photos and videos.
The debut of Buzz in February 2010 unleashed a barrage of criticism from users and privacy advocates because it automatically included users' email contacts in their social network.
Cutts repeatedly stressed that anything people shared with +1 was public.

Early response to the album has been strong: Hold It Against Me, the first single, hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, while the second single, Till the World Ends, hit No. 9.
For 29-year-old Spears, whose last album, 2008's Circus, went platinum, the stakes are high. Interest in her remains strong, partly because Spears — who broke out as a precocious teen with 1999's chart-topping ... Baby One More Time and went on to generate as many hits as headlines — is a survivor.
"I think the expectation for her is huge. People really want to hear quality from Britney," says Gillian Sheldon, vice president of programming at Buzzmedia, which owns the celebrity news site Celebuzz.com. Sheldon, who has worked at TMZ.com, has been watching Spears for a decade. "Coming up, she was this fresh-faced, new talent who burst on the scene who had this amazingly bright career, and then she had some troubles. And I think what she did is what some other celebrities really should do: She really stepped back, walked away from the limelight and really focused on herself, and I think people really respond to that."Healthy products power balance bracelet sale
Those troubles, of course, remain intrinsically a part of Spears' image, which veered from bubbly songbird to wobbly mess with two failed marriages. There's 2007's shaved head. Her 2008 standoff with police in her own home over her sons Sean Preston, now 5, and Jayden James, 4. Her subsequent hospitalizations.
But the Spears of today is older and appears wiser. She remains under the conservatorship of her dad, Jamie Spears, who retains the power to make life decisions for his oldest daughter. And she has almost entirely retreated from the public eye. (Wendy Washington at Spears' label, Jive, and Spears' manager Larry Rudolph both did not respond to phone calls.)
Spears told V magazine she has become more guarded. "I think it's easier to let people in when you're younger, but when I became a mother I wanted more privacy for myself and my children. A life away from my life," she says.
Her peers Lady Gaga and Katy Perry tirelessly hype their new releases. But this time, Spears is mostly letting her music speak for itself. So far, the response has been positive. Rolling Stone awarded her album four out of five stars because, says critic Jody Rosen, "the beats on the record are incredible throughout. All of the songs are very strong. It's one of those rare pop-diva records that consistently, top to bottom, has strong songs."Elegant guess handbags online women's love
Rosen calls Spears' disc "pretty musically adventurous" and describes the singer as "a grown dance diva. What struck me with this record is that they're club songs. They're just good pop songs. I'm an unabashed fan of this album."
